I am wondering if it is worth trying to waitlist for this property- has anyone ever stayed here on points in ski season? Is it even remotely possible? We are looking to try new ski resorts and early April timeframe.

All I can offer is that early April is very late season so your odds should improve.

Aspen Highlands generally closes one week before Ajax, in April, so be sensitive to closing dates. I can tell you, from experience, your ski day may be less fun, if you are staying at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands, and don’t have ski-in/ski-out privileges. The shuttle/bus to downtown is not much fun, or, I should say, not as much fun as ski-in/ski-out at Aspen Highlands.

Highlands appears to be closing April 13 this year- is that later than normal? I was looking at week beginning March 28 next year which I think falls right before Easter so I would guess they would try to stay open?

April 13th is about right for every year, but snow conditions varies. They always have a big party to close the season at Aspen Highlands.
