I notice that many restaurants list a 15% Service Charge which will be added to the bill. Is that considered the tip to which one can add for good service? However, if the wait staff expect an additional 15% for their services, it would seem that the 15% service charge is just a way for a restaurant to earn more money without raising their menu prices. Can someone clarify this for me?
Thanks in advance.
