Are you still treated as an owner if...

I am an owner of 2 EOY units, 1 at Waiohai in Kauai and 1 in Timberlodge in Tahoe. I was wondering if I trade my Waiohai unit for Timberlodge, do I still get the owner preference? What I mean is that owners with multiple units at said resort get highest preference, single week owners at said resort get next preference, etc...

Reason I ask is that we are trying to trade a replacement week for Waiohai into Timberlodge but wanted to know if we got an owner preference.

II doesn't care if you are multiple week owner. All Marriott owners get preference for the 1st 21 days of another Marriott deposit meaning for the 1st 21 days of a deposit only other Marriott owners will get to trade with that particular deposit. After 21 days everyone as equal access to that trade. So it is important to request your trade as soon as possible. I usually request my trade 13 months in advance and I've gotten every single one of them including a trade to Ko'Olina. GL...

June 2007 --- traded 2 bedroom timberlodge (summer) unit for a 2 bedroom Newport Beach week (request made about 12 months and one week out)

Thanksgiving 2006 --- traded 1 bedroom shadow ridge (platinum) unit for a one bedroom at Ko'Olina (request made about 20 months out)

Thanksgiving 2005 --- traded 1 bedroom timberlodge (summer week) for a 2 bedroom at Newport Beach (request made about 13 months out)

July 2004 --- traded 1 bedroom timberlodge (summer week) for a 2 bedroom Manor club (the original side) (request made about 13 months out-- I think but I can't remember for sure but I at least made it 13 months out)

October 2004 --- traded a studio timberlodge for a one bedroom at the Suites at Fisherman's Wharf (Made request about 8 months out and got a match about 5 months out)

Hope that helps..... We also have traded to the Cliff's Club in Kauai and Depoe Bay in Oregon. These were non-Marriott units. But in both situations there were no marriotts. Kauai does have a Marriott units but not on the North side.
