Received an unsolicited mailing from this outfit with a letter in which the first sentence has this comment, "...you are an owner who may be affected by new Timeshare Laws allowing developers to raise maintenance fees with no restriction."
Their pitch is one offering to get timeshare owners out of their timeshare. Sound familiar?

I have no idea what law these folks are referring to as developers and management companies managing timeshare resorts have been able to raise maintenance fees as they wish for years. Is the law a figment of their imagination or more accurately a suggestion to timeshare owners which they hope will cause said owner to panic and deal with them?

Has anyone else received communication from this outfit? Just curious...

"...you are an owner who may be affected by new Timeshare Laws allowing developers to raise maintenance fees with no restriction."

This very statement tells me they are up to no good. MF's are normally set by the HOA, even though there maybe developer representation on the board. Typical scare tactic!

even I get letters in the mail from newton group....

I got the same letter referred to above just this week. They are going to be in my area and I need to respond by the first of August so I can reserve my time to meet with their "advisors" (sic).
