Are all HGVC points the same?

Looking at HGVC points, I understand that there are different seasons and you purchase gold or plat. points and can reserve during those seasons using your points. However, each membership still have a home resort, and I noticed the MF are differents in different resorts.

So, do you have an advantage in reserving your home resort? or are all hgvc points the same and you can reserve any other resorts you want? because then it is more advantageous to choose the resorts that has the cheapest MF.

But if you have an advantage in reserving your home resort, such as guaranteed reservation or longer advance reservation period, etc, then it might be wise to choose your home resrot carefully.

Can anyone explain how HGVC points work?

Club points can be used to make reservations during any seasons as early as nine months prior to the desired check-in date (Club & Open Reservation window)

Summary
There are four Club seasons: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The particular weeks that fall within these seasons vary depending on the resort and location. The Club Points values for the weeks, seasons, and unit sizes for each Club resort are fixed.

There are three Club reservation periods:
(1) Home Resort Reservation window
(2) Club Reservation window
(3) Open Reservation Season window

Home Resort Season is the priority reservation period with the following restrictions:
(i) a one-week vacation
(ii) at the home resort
(iii) during the home season
(iv) in the size unit that they own
(v) with the home resort check-in date (e.g., Fridays, Saturdays).
Note: These restrictions don't apply to Club and Open season. Only restriction is the number of days - three-night minimum for Club & two night minimum for Open

Correction - In 2005, HGVC changed the reservation period based on check-out date instead of check-in date.

So my statement above should say
