Now, or after 12/31/25?
Where is the ARDA in all this? It is across the board (HGVC, HIVC, etc.) timeshare owners; that through various sources is paying them for representation?

Just wanted to share some of what is on the arda.org website. Tons of data. There is a 56 page report on the state of the industry; as well as some simpler, more interesting things like the chart shown below. In the upper right corner, you can toggle the numbers back to 2019 and see trends. Pretty cool!

Thanks, but we are paying for them?

many thousands of owners do unknowingly donate a part of their maintenance fees to ARDA-ROC yes. we have had numerous threads on it in the past!

So true and most timeshare owners do not know this along with the fact that they receive no direct benefits from ARDA and little indirect benefit. The claim advocacy and protection, responsible exit and education according to Ai but this is a pile of Dodo junk imho. The thing that they could do is expose the timeshare industry Big Lies by SALES in their verbal promises and puffery while mentioning nothing about the one sided written contract which most timeshare owners don't read or understand until it is too late. Realistically, sales should be required to fully disclose all the bad with the good a WARNING clause should be included in BIG PRINT on the written contract stating THIS CONTRACT SHOULD BE REVIEWED BY YOUR ATTORNEY PRIOR TO THE RESCISSION PERIOD END.
I believe it's time for a full and complete investigation by state AGs and the FTC et al. I wonder how many timeshare purchases have destroyed purchasers lives?

ARDA claims to represent Timeshare Organizations and Timeshare Owners. It is a lie. Everytime there is proposed Legislation that would help protect Owners from the predatory Tactics from the Sales Department of Timeshare Organizations ARDA opposes them.

It can be done. Problem is it's a big task for one person to take on.

Perhaps now is the time for all good folks to rise up and fight the Goliaths? It doesn't take long to file a complaint? Jjust like the HOA BODs vote on the closure of Wyndham Timeshares, it is a numbers game and most timeshare owner's don't know the truth that their donations to ARDA don't help them directly. Area appears to be controlled by the Goliaths. Remember terminates can bring down the tallest of wooden buildings and termites don't lie, cheat or steal.

I know. I Googled how to report a timeshare scam, and the results kept bringing me to Wyndhams Scambusters. Report them to themselves? It has to rise to a higher level. But that is up to us.

With Hilton Vacation Club, deeded owners have a $7 ARDA-ROC fee added to their annual maintenance fees. They always say it's optional. You have to call to get it removed. They say just pay the fees minus the $7 and it will automatically get removed. It never seems to happen. You call again, and again, and they'll finally remove it. BTW, you get put on hold for 30-60 minutes every time you call. I'm glad I'm retired and can keep calling every year until it's removed. What a waste of my time and theirs!

BTW, if you own Hilton Vacation Club points, the trust that manages the collection is always going to send the "voluntary" $7 to ARDA-ROC.
