Looking at adding a couple MVC Hawaii resale weeks.

What is the average closing cost others are paying per week in Hawaii and what is included in that breakout? Anything optional?

I'm hearing closing can be above $1,000-1,100 per week in Hawaii, which seems quite high. Trying to understand if there is something unique with Hawaii timeshares that require a higher closing cost?

About $1100 w/title insurance using Old Republic Title, who did a great, timely job for MOC annual with sale price of $18K.

Doc Prep Fee to Hawaii Document Service 151.00
Doc Assembly Fee to Advantage Vacation LLC 125.00
Homeowners Association Management Fees - Transfer Fee to Marriott Vacation Club International 25.00
Homeowners Association Management Fees - ROFR Fee to Marriott Vacation Club International 95.00
Escrow Fees to Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii, Ltd. 286.46

Additional Charges 156.25
Mailing/Handling Fee to Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii, Ltd. 52.08
HARPTA Processing fee to Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii, Ltd. 104.17

Title Charges
CLTA Standard Owner's to Old Republic Title & Escrow of Hawaii, Ltd. 200.00
Recordin Fees 41.00

Deed to the Bureau of Conveyances 41.00
County Transfer Tax to County of Maui 18.00

My last Hawaii title transfer was less than $200 with L.T. Transfers.

But mine was a free timeshare (not Marriott) so no escrow, no title search, no Marriott fees, etc. Just an estoppel and deed prep and recording. (Sorry - when I posted the first time I didn't notice that this question was on the Marriott Forum.)

I'm currently closing in two Maui weeks. Closing costs were $1029 for both weeks, including title insurance.

Here is the breakdown:
Audit Fee: $50
Title Insurance: $300
Courier Fees: $50
Escrow: $314.14
Record Deed: $41
State Documentery Transfer Tax: $67
Doc Prep Fee-First American: $157
Marriott Transfer Fee: $50 ($25x2 weeks)

When I make an offer I just say "$XXX is my all-in price including all closing and Marriott fees" this way I don't get a surprise bill after I agree to a price.

Is there any discount if you do two weeks at once for the same broker/closing company?

Most I'm talking with are around $1k per week, not for two.

$515 per week above seems pretty good for Hawaii IMO.

Based on what I could tell, the only added cost was the additional $25 transfer fee for the 2nd week. Everything else would have been the same had I only done 1 week. So in this case, I saved some money. I was expecting $1000 per week. I wanted the Title insurance so if you don't want/need that, you could save another $300. Since my purchase was for $68k, I figured an extra $300 to protect my interest was worth it.

I paid $550 in closing costs for each of my two units (excluding Marriott's 'transfer' fee).

Steven, who was your title company? thx...

First American Title in Hawaii, Timeshare Division.

I should also point out that my two weeks were with the same owner at the same location. That probably played a factor in my pricing. Two weeks, one transaction rather than two weeks, two separate transactions.
