So we received the marketing campaign in the mail today. They claim its not a TS. Does anyone know anything about this company? Its being held at a Marriott Courtyard in my home tome.

Looks like some kind of vacation club. Sign over your timeshare and buy into their expensive club. They likely rent out the good weeks for cash and let the "members" book the leftovers. Availability is always an issue with these kinds of operations. But you won't have any issues booking places like Sheraton Vistana Resort or any other RCI leftovers.

I figured. They are offering $50 visa and vouchers for two airline tickets and two hotel nights for attending. I imagine the vouchers are very hard to use.

Yeah, the vouchers are probably throwaway, or some kind of buy one get one free thing where they price them on a grid and not based on booking through a major travel website. Causing you to pay the same or more than if you just booked them on your own.

Its local and I would not be burning vacation time, so I'm thinking about it.

Apollo Travel & Adventure Shows are scams. They promise you (2) complimentary round trip airline vouchers, and (2) two nights at one of over 1,000 Marriott, or Hyatt hotels and resorts.

They pitch nothing more than the opportunity to use their travel agency to book you travels. They claim you'll save incredible amounts of money by using their services. The examples of "deals" they pitched during their presentation cost much more than what we typically pay for the identical travel experiences.

What's really comical is how they pitch that they cater to those who want to experience oppulent travel. All while they pitch their gimmicks to you from a room at Holiday Inn Express on the outskirts of town. LOL!

Then, at the very end of the presentation, they tell you how to buy a membership for $9000. Really!!! They want you to pay them $9000 to overpay them for every trip you book through them. You get absolutely nothing else. There are complimentary flights, cruises, nights in hotels, etc. Oh, and then the pressure tactic. The $9000 membership is only available to you if you sign up at the presentation. Any they offer a more limited membership for $2000 less. They don't have a website for you to check out the types of deals they offer. You are completely oblivious to what you will get... or better yet, what you will NOT get.

Never once do they mention their company name. They are scam artists.

You are required to pay $49 to register the airline vouchers and $199 per ticket to use them. They can only be used Monday - Thursday, and there are lots of blackout periods. They are virtually, and many time literally, worthless. You pay $49 to register vouchers you will never use. The hotel vouchers are even worse. They also routinely offer restaurant vouchers. You will get a couple Restaurant.com vouchers every few months. You can buy $25 Restaurant.com vouchers anytime you want. At full face value, you will only pay $10 for a $25 voucher. They often go on sale for $4 for a $25 voucher.
