Anyone heard of "The Registry Collection"

I am looking at a property in Kelowna, BC Canada.
The property uses The Registry Collection as an exchange company.
Has anyone ever heard of this exchange company and have any experience?
I'm just wondering what they are like to deal with.
The property I am looking at is called "The Royal Private Residence Club".

Thanks.

I believe that the "Registry Collection" is a sub-set of RCI resorts which allows preferrencial trading between each of the resorts.

So if your resort is a member, you'll get special access to the other registry resorts but you'll also have access to all RCI resorts too.

I have no experience with them but it sounds like another points exchange system. It may or may not be another RCI initiative. Do they have a real access to inventory in all resorts listed ? Anyone can put together a list of prime resorts and put it on a website. But do they have a record of delivering what they promise ? You should carefully evaluate the points grid on their website to see where would your resort fit in. Be careful.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe this is a program from RCI in conjunction with Abercrombie & Kent for trading at fractional ownership properties.

One of our resorts has been with this company since the very beginning but the web site has changed so many times that we don't know what you can do with it. We didn't sign up and I don't know anyone who has because we have asked other people there. I have sent inquiries several times but all I get back is that they will come back later and they don't.

Here is the link you were referring to most likely.

I received the Registry collection with the recent purchase of a fractional. It is an offshoot of RCI. The number of resorts in this collection is extremely limited. After perusing the very slim catalog, I basically through it away or put it away somewhere where I don't really care if I see it again. There were maybe 20 resorts in the whole thing. Nothing that looked any better than the nicer resorts in the regular RCI catalog. Definitely not a plus if you're purchasing.

In addition, because of this wonderful new feature with my purchase, RCI saw fit to put the new purchase under a NEW membership account instead of putting it in my existing account. Now I have two accounts, one of which will expire in 3 months after the free one year membership which I haven't used. The other membership has four years left on it. I hope that I can get these two accounts consolidated, but if I can't, that's another reason to leave RCI . :wall:
