Anyone heard from MULTIZ321

Do you know something the rest of us don't?
Probably not, but there a number of coincidences surrounding the findings indicated by TR's post #33 in this thread to just pass over. Unless someone hears from his family and/or friends otherwise, I'm prepared to simply move on.

I can confirm that the obituary is not his.

We shouldn't be posting personally identifiable information without his permission.

Many of us have been at Tug for decades. Richard is one of those guys who has been here over 20 years. While it might seem nosey , it is actually just concern.

I understand your concern, and I can confirm that it is not his obituary.

Keep in mind that this is a public forum. Exposing personally identifiable information on the internet without a person's consent is known as "doxxing", and has been criminalized in many jurisdictions (including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain). It is not illegal in the United States (yet).

Doxxing is when you expose information without a persons consent for malicious purposes. Not when you are trying to find out if something happened to a long time forum user. I think you are way off on your definition and tone.

Some folks prefer more privacy on the internet, and don't want their personal information exposed. It really depends on the person, so I tend to err on the side of caution as to be respectful.

I think we may have to agree to disagree as to whether or not it's appropriate to reveal an identity without consent.

If he did, he wouldn't have associated his real name to an X.com profile of the same username as he uses here.

I have already confirmed that the obituary is not his. I gave context as to how I know that. You did not. How are you able to confirm it?

As to the release of personal information, I agree we all need to be careful not to breach any confidences. However, I and many others have been careful not to reveal anything that is not already easily obtainable in the public domain that Richard himself has provided.

As to "doxxing", that is not the release of publicly available information provided by the individual themselves. It is the release of information that has NOT been made public by an individual about themselves.

This whole discussion about what or what doesn't constitute private information has taken this discussion off on a tangent that I personally find disrespectful of the original purpose of this thread, which is many long-time members expressing concern for the well-being of another long-time member who they miss.

Out of curiosity, I googled myself. I’m afraid I am a nonentity.
My supposed family are people who are strangers to me, I have five phone numbers I never used, property I know nothing about.
There are also multiple obituaries for my same name.

Many years ago I posted that my niece performed for the Pope.
Richard found a YouTube video of her performance and posted it here. I was surprised and happy to see it.

I remember that!

So you never got a call from a scammer claiming he can sell it for tens of thousands of dollars if you pay a small, upfront fee? ;)
I get calls and texts for a person named Prichard who had my cell phone number at least ten years ago. They are usually about property. But my cell number does not show up when you google me.

Thanks for anything anyone can do to give us closure, if that is what remains..........He was special to me, and I'm sure to many more......
His contributions went above and beyond, and it took quite an effort on his part.
So I feel like in this instance we should go the extra mile......just as Richard went the extra mile in contributing to our enjoyment.

He was one of the special ones, no?
Unique for sure!
Let's continue to give it our best shot .....
I will forever be grateful to him for the inquiries that he generated for me---to learn about so many varied subjects,
and initiating the quest to continue to do so during the rest of my life. He was an inspiration, no doubt!!!
He was a giver, never a taker or a complainer ...he only desired to open our eyes, and he did!
God bless him.

I agree. I always wondered how he came up with the material he posted.
He was so regular with his postings it's difficult to think he would intentionally leave us without saying goodbye.

In the defense of Richard, sometimes it is hard to say goodbye to friends.
That is why it is always wise to ride off into the sunset alone.

That is also, why, I always tells my friends, I will see you later.
Never goodbye.
