Anyone have experience with Global Equity?

Just received a call from someone with Global Equity or Global Financial located in Las Vegas. They presented a fairly logical case for having them sell my timeshare, i.e. 1 flat fee (2K for "closing costs"), selling to corporations, etc. They gave me a reasonable, but lower than expectations of course, selling price, said they had a buyer, offered airline tickets to Vegas as incentive, etc etc etc. They then emailed me their reports from the BBB along with a form for me to fill out. No money was asked for at this time.

So - anyone out there had experience with these folks. My time share is a penthouse unit in Mazatlan.

Thanks!

RUN!!

They will take your money and you'll still have your timeshare. "They sell to corporations" Corporations don't buy timeshares and if they did they would make sure they were getting the best deals they could. Corporations wouldn't be buying from Global Equity.

Look at the top of this board for the how to sell your TS thread. But the rule here on TUG is never pay upfront fees to sell your TS.

They got you for 1,000 more than me!

This company is a scam. If you still have time dispute the amount on your card, file a report with the BBB, also file a report on ripoffreport.com. I am going to also go to Consumer Reports and a few others. I cancelled within days (did not sign a contract) was promised a credit and it has been almost two months. My husband used to work telemarketing and he says they are using every telemarketing "scam" tactic out there, they are good at it too. Unfortunately, they are taking advantage of a lot of people. Get your week back, they are taking it from you and you are not going to get compensation. They will put you off until you let it go for nothing. I would rather give it to friends and family than have them steal it away. Good luck!

Sound Familiar ?

Hey, that fits right in with this nightmare scenario.

Who'd a-thunk ?
