Does anyone have a current discount code as it's almost time for me to renew. This will be my 2nd renewal. last year's code that someone on Tug posted cut the bill to $77.

Thanks!

Hi PCgirl54,

This site - http://www.musicxspot.com/discount/XMRADIO.html - said there are no current XM radio discount codes.

I just received a letter from XM Radio today saying that if I switched to credit card payment, they would give me a month of free XM. Currently, I'm sending them a check every 3 months.

Good luck.

Richard

PS - I love XM radio.

The easiest way to get a discount is to tell them you want to cancel. Watch how fast you get offered discounted service. Trust me.

Our current subscription (3 months) is up in a few days. We have considered this approach. Our last offer was three months for the price of two. Couldn't beat that.

Call them and tell them you want to cancel. They will transfer you to the cancellation department. They will ask why and tell them it's too expensive and you cannot afford it. We have paid $77/year for the last several years.

Thanks to all. Will try it. $77 is only $6.41 a month. I have a long commute so I like to listen to XM.

The first three months with my new car was free....then I did not renew....they offered me $6.99 a month for 6 months....did not take...then $4.99 for 6 months which I grabbed. I then got a second radio for my son $70 for the radio and three months of service....Everything will revert back to $12.99 and $8.99 plus tax in a few months....guess I should make the call and see what happens.....Seems like $24 a month is too much for radio....he listens....I do but am not that into it, but was thinking of continuing his as a b.day gift but if I cancel his radio becomes primary and reverts to the $12.99 a month......

I let my radio cancrl after the 3 month trial period. Two weeks later XM Radio called and offered me 6 months for $29.99 plus tax. I asked if there was something else he could offer for the 12 months and they suggested I just wait and see after it expired. In the past, I have also received the $77 offer when I have called to cancel.

Good luck

We have 3 (2 cars & a portable) and when my husband's renewed, I just paid the annual fee, but then the other two were still on the 3 month automatic payment plan and that was $55 now that the rates went up in the spring. Anyway, hubby called and complained and told them he was going to cancel the 2 cars and we would just use the portable when we wanted to listen to XM. They then said for $43 more (one time payment), we would be fully paid on all three until next July! So, calling saved us over $100 for the upcoming year.

Call. :D

xm

My son had xm, he canceled it because his radio broke. They wanted to send him a new radio for free. last month he got a letter from xm, on the front of the letter it said, come back to xm for $4.99 a month. Not sure for how long.
