I was just e-mailed 9 reservation confirmations for 4 reservations. Can you say "Starwood Gone Wild?"

These were all made months ago.

cancelled reservation

I just got one for a week that i later banked in RCI and have already used to trade into disney vacation club!? kind of a weird email, glad to know i'm not the only one that got one.

Same here. I rec'd confirmation emails AND a cancellation email for Harborside, which made me review it carefully... it was a different cancellation # than the unit I have, but I called HBR anyway to confirm I'm still in their system.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised. We're lucky that Starwood even sends confirmations, I guess now we should be lucky they are sent in the same year. Forget about the online reservation system we've been promised for eons...

I got confirmations of reservations and cancellations about 8:30 (CDT) tonight. All were for 2011. All had been sent to me before. Very odd. Thought it was only me. ... eom

Received Confirmation for 2011

Received another confirmation this evening regarding a March 2011 reservation and was a little surprised. Checked everything and all appears to be OK!

still waiting

I am still waiting    for my reservation to send to my email. I wonder how many times do I need to call them. THis is the 3rd time I try to get a email confirmation.:bawl:

Maybe this is the new online reservation system that they have been promising for years.

Try a different email address - especially if you are using aol.

Check your spam folder.

email for cancelled reservation

I too got an email for a reservation in October of this year for a week at WKORVN that I made last year, but I had cancelled it a while back. I plan to call just to verify that everything is cancelled.

This happened to us back in mid-June for all of our 2010 reservations...

one of six...
now 2 of 6 (both WKV) - problem is that they are in my name and not renters... now I am going to have to call Owner Services...

I thought the renter name is added as a guest on the reservation. However, the reservation stays in the owner's name, not the renter's name.

That way, the owner who made the reservation is still responsible for any damage the renter might cause or any bills that remain unpaid after the renter leaves.

Am I wrong? ... eom

Yes, I got a confirmation for my visit to Sheraton Mountain Vista in November.

But I already received a confirmation way back in March when the reservation was made ----

Received our confirmation for WKORV, but didn't think much of it since we go in 17 days. I thought maybe they just didn't want me to forget to go to Maui.

All of reservations from this summer only had the names of the family members who were assigned the room on them -- only the reservations that were our specific rooms had our names on it.

Talked to Owner Services today - this was an email glitch. All of my reservation confirmations are in the correct names (ours or renters).

btw - the location request for WKORV (July 2011) was still in place - and the SVO associate told me this request without me asking.

The guest is required to supply a valid credit card in their name upon check-in for charges (just as with a hotel - if there were charges that were not fulfilled by the guest upon check-out - it will be charged to that credit card even after it is closed-out) - the reservation confimation is in the name of the guest.

email received from SVO - Email Error Notice

We want to apologize for a recent email that was sent to you in error from Owner Services. Last evening, our email system inadvertently re-sent Owner reservation confirmations and reservation cancellations that were previously sent to our Owners.

Our reservation system was not affected by this issue, so please disregard the email you received. We apologize for any confusion or frustration that this may have caused.

If you have any questions, please contact Owner Services at 888 619 2988.

If only our maintenance fees were "errors" too :bawl:

Now I've just gotten a recorded VM message, and got an apologetic explanantory email last night. They seem to be going to great lengths to reassure us.

I've received the call twice. Wonder if Negma will get 9 calls?
