Anyone changed a name recently on a Vistana reservation?

Reservation no longer displays on Marriott Bonvoy website after changing the name.

I have a Home Resort Reservation at a Vistana resort where I own a week. I have both the 6-digit Vistana confirmation number and 8-digit Marriott confirmation number. I had been able to successfully look up the reservation on Marriott Bonvoy website when it was still under my name.

I changed the name on Vistana website a week ago and received the Vistana confirmation with the new name right away. However, the reservation no longer comes up on Marriott Bonvoy website, not under my name, not under guest's name. It displays fine under my vacations on the Vistana website. Vistana is telling me it looks fine from their end, they gave me the 8-digit Marriott confirmation number (unchanged), but it just doesn't work on the Marriott Bonvoy website.

May this be because of the new Marriott guest form process now being extended to Vistana as well? Has anyone changed a name on a Vistana reservation recently?

If you can't see it then it means Marriott changed the name and dropped your Bonvoy number from the reservation. That part is normal and happens 1-3 days after you change the name on Vistana.

Did you try pulling it up by looking up the reservation number, name and date?

If you can't find it that way, that can mean 1 of 2 things:

1) Marriott misspelled the guest's name (it's happened to me once before - I believe they do it manually); or

2) You rented to a "broker" who subleased your unit to someone else and the broker already took the liberty to change the name on marriott.com on their own. For that to happen though they would need to know the confirmation number, and if you changed the name on Vistana I don't believe the renter's email is part of that form (it is on the form for MVC owners) so I don't know how they got it. Perhaps they get it as part of Redweek "verified and protected" if you used that. By the way, if you rented via Redweek "verified and protected", I believe this broker subleasing scenario would be a violation of the "no subleasing without owner permission" clause - if you care... It probably happens a lot and I wish Redweek would enforce it.
 
I just called the resort and you were right, they misspelled the name. And by the way they misspelled it, it's obvious they entered the name manually.
