Anyone bought resale AFTER joining max

Last year we bought property to get into max. Is there anyone that is in max that has since bought resale. At the owner update, they told us that resale cannot be used in max (which I believe is true), however, they then said that the resale points will be in a separate account and cannot be combined with our developer points to book at the regular hgvc resorts. We would have to book with either only the resale points or only the developer points . Is this correct?

From what has been reported here, resale points can be used in Max, but don’t count toward the Max tiers. They are all in the same bucket. I am full resale and am not part of Max so I could be very wrong.

This is what I have heard from several folks who have done it. Usable in Max but doesn't count toward the Max Tier level..... Just like many resales not counting toward Elite but usable in Legacy.

This question keeps popping up. Maybe we could do a poll of tug members.

Some suggested responses:

1. Own only resale
2. Own only developer - not in Max
3. Purchased resale before buying max and all points in same reservation bucket
4. Purchased resale after max and all points in same reservation bucket
5 purchased resale after max and all points in different reservation bucket

I owned resale, upgraded to developer and got Max, then bought another resale. The points from my latest resale purchase are in the same account and can be used in Max but don't count towards Max Tier status. This aligns with what it says in the latest version of the Club Rules.

Folks, it is a mistake to assume anything said in a sales presentation if true. Especially, anything abt MAX. You do not have to follow any of these MAX threads long to realize this has been consistent from the early discussions of the program.

Do your original points (those bought resale before you purchased into Max) work for Max or are they in a different bucket.

All the points I have work in Max. The only different buckets I have are Club Points and bHC Points.
