I unfortunately won't be able to use a reservation I have for 2026 [deleted]. I was thinking of listing it on a third party side like Koala. I think I asked before when I first discovered Koala, but I quick search didn't pull up the thread here on TUG.

Has any one had any experience with listing on Koala? Does this count as commercial use? Could it result in Wyndham canceling the reservation and/or contract? I have enough GC and premium week tokens (whatever those things are called) to make the guest reservation. Just trying to figure out my options and what I can and can't do with this reservation.

Thanks.

This has been discussed at great length - use the search function at the top right of the page and search for Koala. The specific details of what you have for rent have been deleted from your post, so you post doesn't appear to be advertising.

You can also list at TUG
I have had more luck at TUG listings in the last three years than I have had a Koala
The people at Koala are good people and do a good job within their program
I have not had good luck with them since they changed to paid levels
I only have a single resort I own and rent out and the paid levels do not fit my needs

Thanks. I did search the forums first before posting. Not much came up as the owner renting out side. Also, as an aside, the search function and the results isn't the easiest to navigate. Sometime easier to start a new thread.

Doesn't hurt to list it here, good advice. I'll post it and see if anyone bites!

Not sure how you didn't find much. There are about 20 threads from 2025 with Koala in the title. You need to search everywhere, not just in the Wyndham forum.

Thanks, I stuck to Wyndham specifically as I am not concerned about people's experience who are not Wyndham owners. Given the commercial use restriction of Wyndham, I specifically am looking for Wyndham owner's experience.

Rentals on Koala carry the same risk as renting it out anywhere else.

I know nothing about the Wyndham commercial use restriction, or whether it might apply to your specific case, but I am familiar with Koala. The good: easy to list, you just need some documentary verification that you have what you say you have. Also good: one million dollars insurance coverage if your "guest" (tenant) damages the property. The bad: I've offered my rentals this year at what I believe are rock bottom prices, and have never even received one inquiry.

I've read in the past that others have been quite successful listing on Koala. So I don't know if my failure has to do with the resorts I'm offering. Maybe they're great at Hawaii listings, for example, and I don't have Hawaii timeshares.

Or maybe 2025 is just a bad rental year.

Don't know what it is but I had high hopes but no luck with Koala as yet.

I think 2025 is a tough year to rent. I had to reduce my rental prices for 2025.

There seems to be a Koala type site on the Wyndham dashboard that allows you to rent out reservations. They want 40%....
Yes. Wyndham has Vacation Share which is their sanctioned outlet for owner rentals.

Not saying anything novel here that no one has said before, but I love that we can't rent stuff on their own, but using their own platform to do it is totally fine

Sometimes I find it easier to search on Google or an AI search. Surprisingly the search results end up back here on TUG!

It's really easy to search by member name also, you previously asked about a guest using Koala.

I searched for Koala and your member name.

I had the same experience. My only rental was lusted way too low. Like $230 for a ski week. In fact when I went to cancel a may week, I discovered it was still marked pending. I am not getting any takers for my rentals this year and had two people tell me 100 a night for Fourth of July week was too much.

I am not an owner yet, but I and my extended family have rented timeshare units through Koala for the past 4-5 years at Bonnet Creek. There always seems to be units available at that resort.
