Any opinions on Chem-Dry carpet cleaning?

I need to get my carpets cleaned and they are just disgusting. All winter the dogs have ground mud into the carpet plus there were a few pet accidents from our foster dogs. (These spots were cleaned at the time but still sometimes leave a mark.)

Chem-Dry is supposed to dry fast in just a couple of hours. Has anyone used this service?

Don't know about your specific franchisee, but Chem-Dry is a franchisor across North America.

I highly recommend the Chem-Dry process. Think of it as dry-cleaning for your carpets. I never use traditional steam-cleaning on carpets (in our home as well as a rental property we own) as once you steam them, you strip off the stain-repellent and it gets dirtier faster. Have you ever noticed that once you steam clean the carpet, you have to do it more often? IMO, Chem-Dry works more effectively and lasts longer. It is more expensive than traditional steam cleaning, but well worth the money.

We used them a short while ago. It took longer than a couple of hours to dry, although not as long as with other methods. I was happy with the results and paid extra for the protective coating that they mix in with the cleaning fluid. In our area the cost was the same as steam cleaning. I would speak to your franchisee first and tell them about the marks and see if their system insures they'll come out.
I had wanted them to clean a beige leather sofa, which isn't noticeably dirty to anyone else and I do clean it from time to time myself, but as it's our tv sofa/double recliner that we've sat on for several years, I felt it would benefit from a professional clean. They did a small area and said for what it was going to cost, about $80, I wouldn't see much difference and they recommended we didn't do it. I certainly appreciated their honesty and thought this said a lot about the way the company works.

I have used them in the DFW area. Very happy would highly recomend.

Ditto! Use them exclusively also. Have 3 kids and much use, so usually once a year total job and once for touch-up high traffic areas.

Another benefit is that their process doesn't cause carpets to stretch out and buckle or wrinkle.
