We live in southern CA and are new Hilton owners. We visited Club Intrawest and interested in staying there this fall for a long weekend. Any insight would be great (trading, accommodations, etc.).

It takes a lot of HGVC points and you can't book online. You need to call to reserve and check availability. I would book as far in advance as possible.

I haven't stayed there. We drove through it and it looks great. I am looking to go there but may use my shell to exchange in II for it rather than HGVC points. It seems like a better bargain. Of course, a weekend stay would probably be less expensive on HGVC points.

Thanks, can you also do Open Season? I will call tomorrow as well.

I'm a Club Intrawest owner and have stayed at CI Palm Desert several times. It's our favorite of all the CI locations we've been to. The fall is generally lower season, and there is plenty of weekend availability right now through the CI owners' portal, though I don't know how that translates into available inventory for HGVC members. Of course weekends are more expensive in terms of points.

We've stayed in a regular 1 bedroom and also a 1 bedroom terrace, which I highly recommend. Those are on the second floor (all buildings are only two floors) with a large outdoor balcony, and some also have an outdoor shower. We always ask for a unit by the adult pool/lap pool section, but then we travel without kids.

Thank you, we toured the property and I agree about having a unit by the adult pool - it looked very private and quiet.

Late May we called and booked a 2bdrm Fri, Sat, Sun in October for 2848 points. We love it there, but it is difficult to get reservations... you need to plan in advance. The day we called, that was the first weekend opening for a 2bdrm... 4 months out!

Thank you, I called Tuesday, there are a few options. I have to decide before they are gone.
