Just wondering if there is any advantage of using a RCI VG or VC? We usually just book it online on their website. We usually get what we want to a point. I am wondering if I am am missing anything? Can a RCI VG get you things that do not show up on their website? We usually check the website at night to see what is new. We don't do any ongoing search - we seem to be able to see stuff being dumped in at night from 9pm to 1am pst. Thanks for any ideas:)

The non-response to the question may be the answer.

I will always choose to do any transaction that I can online. Whenever I have been required to utilize a VC/VG, I dread it. That's not to say that I have never been assisted by one in a positive way. I have had mostly good experiences. I just prefer to do my transactions online and avoid the possibility of being frustrated or irritated with one that neither assists or gives bad info.

Consider for at least a moment the entertainment and surprise factor of getting different, multiple, often contradictory answers from different VC's in response to the exact same question. Can your computer do that?

Actually, yes, my computer can give me all sorts of answers, some of the time, totally unrelated and contradictory. Thank you Bill Gates.:crash:

I once called a VC to change the unit for my RCI Points Reservation from a studio to a 1 BR. The first VC told me of all the charges and penalties, ranging from loss of points to extra fees. I called back later and another VC graciously changed the unit with no extra charges beyond the extra points required for larger room.

I must have all the luck. I usually get great VC's who are very pleasant and seem very pleased that they are able to get the resort that I want. I have unsuccessfully searched with a visible red one bedroom then called a VC and gotten the exchange I wanted with a blue one bedroom.

If I don't get the answer I want the first time, I do call back.

Must be a great VC

I guess it depends on who you talk to:). The few times that I have called a VC, I usually didn't get anywhere. Because I live out west and still am working; by the time I get home after work and settled down after dinner, it is too late to call a VC. I have talked to a friend who is retired and she mentioned that to get a good VC, she calls on week days, and between 9am - 5pm est. That is she gets on the phone at 6 am pst to bug them. If only I was retired and didn't have to work!

Cheers
