I got one! It is compatible with my Echo (works with Alexa) purchased from Amazon. The code was right there on the product page and purchased easily with buy now.

I looked again - I am not seeing the code anywhere. I did a quick google search, and this exact product/code combo/price popped up on a reddit thread 7 months ago, with other people unable to see it. So that is weird.

Also, I found this Kasa 2 pack which isn't as cheap as the $1.99 deal, but for $11 for two plugs it's a great deal, so I am going to buy a bunch for stocking stuffers for my kids.
