Amazon Prime Travel Deals

Amazon is having a prime day today and tomorrow. I had an Avis reservation for a standard suv that I changed because the price is better than the old Costo reservation by about $200 and Amazon will give another $300 if form of an Amazon gift card after I use the suv. There is also Priceline deals and Carnival Cruise Line deals.

My Costco booking was through Alamo. At first glance, Avis through Amazon was cheaper but at check-out after all the taxes and fees, it is more expensive by $100 for my 4-day rental.

I just booked another car in Mexico using Budget. They are part of Avis and the Amazon discount is on their page. That makes two re-books. Both are three weeks so the Amazon gift card of 20% adds up.
