Am I the only one that found the Soprano's boring?

I like all other Soprano fans have waited a long time for the new season. The show this past Sunday was imho stupid & boring. Am I the only one that feels that way?

Thank heavens I'm not the only one. I found it very boring, and at least three times as long as it needed to be. They could have done a lot more than they did with that episode.

I've been looking forward to the restart of the Sopranos, and now that its here, I've been very disappointed. Why did it have to get so "artsy" with the imagination stuff, flashbacks, etc? I liked it better before.

I was not only bored, but also uneasy watching it. I can't explain why. Probably because the show usually gives me a huge rush.

Toward the end and in the previews I started getting the picture of what comes next. Tony's boys are going to start running wild without him around, AJ is going to try to pop Junior, and who knows what else. I'm sure Johnny Sack is going to try to edge in on some of Tony's territory.

My prediction in last week's thread was that Tony would be in a wheel chair. I think I'm correct. I'm also going to say that he's going to go straight when he gets out of the hospital. Witness protection could be in his future.

Sadly, I have to agree.

Last season was marked by vanity cameos. They crammed in as many actors as they possibly could for their couple of minutes. That got pretty tiresome.

This season seems marked by dream sequences and foreshadowing. This week was about as exciting as watching paint dry.

All the symbolism was just a tad overdone. The Christian ad on the TV about sin and death, the cross, the idea of his having his ID switched - gee, think it's maybe a dream about the Witness Protection Program?

When Carmela told him how she didn't really mean it when she had told him that he was going to hell, that he wasn't, that he was such a good father, well, that was almost too much for me. Can't picture her saying such things. She knows, better than anyone, just how evil he is.

Yup. It gets the prize for the most boring episode yet.

I'm with you...especially after the rush of the week before. Let's hope they fix that problem.

BTW, did anyone else notice that everytime Tony spoke to Carmela on the phone during his dream, it didn't sound like her at all? The voice was missing Edie Falco's excessive nasal quality.

Yes, I noticed that along with all the other boring details :D

Tony's voice was different too. They aren't the same folks in the dream as in reality. It's like Tony was never in the mob.

Maybe we are going to find out that the whole series has been Tony's dream...the business man dreaming of the mob life....now that would really put me off!!!

They had a few "dream" episodes last year or 2 years ago. They 'sucked" too.
Meadow was on Regis and Kelly. She said, in total there are 20 episodes this year.(they completed 12 and will start in June to do 8 more.) If they're anything like last week's dream episode, this can become a nightmare.
