Am I going to have a problem booking 8 rooms?

My wife and I are planning on taking our nieces and nephews to Orlando next year. They are all grown and have their own families, so it's really an opportunity for all the great nieces and nephews to visit the parks as a group so they can make those memories together. We've never booked multiple rooms for the same week, and I wanted to make sure that HGV isn't going to see 8 two bedrooms booked at the same resort by me and assume it's some kind of mistake and start canceling them.

Really, I have a few questions/concerns about doing this:
1. Like I mentioned above, will HGV think it's some kind of glitch and start canceling rooms on me?
2. Am I better off calling and and having them help with the reservation, or just do it all online?
3. Any recommendations on which Orlando resort would be best for a dozen kids between the ages of 3 and 10?

My early thoughts were SeaWorld, but I've never been to any of the Florida resorts. Points shouldn't be an issue - We have over 45,000 annual points and are likely going to be saving over 12,000 from this year. So we could borrow from 2027 and end up with over 100,000 points to book the rooms. If anyone has run into problems doing this, or has advice about things I'm not thinking of I'd appreciate the advice. I'm just trying to get our ducks in a row before getting too far along. Thanks!

I have booked 4-5 rooms several times (not 8) and have never had a problem. We do a similar thing for family time at HHI in early June (therefore the need for all of the rooms). I usually don’t get GC because I normally check into all of the rooms also. But you will need them if your guests are checking in. The problem will be with availability if you are needing 8 rooms but I would think Orlando would be one of the easier ones to book multiple rooms.

My advice would be to book when the club window opens and even walk the reservations into your dates.

I had 5 rooms at SeaWorld last month with people arriving over 5 different days and had no issues at all. I’ve stayed there four times and think that would be a great spot for the adults and kids.

I think if you book at the start of your window it will be a non-issue. Every single date after July 4th is available at Seaworld in the 2br right now including Christmas/New Years break. Those have been available for months and would be the highest demand time of year, so 8 at the beginning of the window shouls be no problem.

I would also mention that it's very available on RCI. So while I would definitely book all 8 at the window using HGVC, I might try and watch RCI to switch some to that for the savings. RCI also gets 3br so that might be a way to get a few larger units if you have any families with more kids.
