Am I imagining things or are there fewer listings on Redweek (for WKORV specifically) than there had been several years ago? If so, why is that and where are other sites to list or view rental listings? TIA.
I don't track it specifically, but I thought there was more inventory out there for rentals as more people were trying to recoup their fees? Are you saying there are fewer rental listings? If so, I can't really explain that.
As for alternatives; go-koala, TUG Marketplace, individual brokers and someone posted about DashWeek recently.
Be aware that their sort default has changed - you have to choose "sort by date" at the top of the page to see Redweek listings organized by date, now.

My Resort Network is always an option. It's gone by the wayside but it's still out there. Don't know what happened to it.
TUG ads have been doing okay for me lately. I rented a few weeks upcoming in March.
I also like go-koala.com but should probably join as a pro instead of a regular renter because I do have a lot of rentals and it could work for me. I haven't talked to Koala about the possibility. Their rentals have picked up, according to the newsletter the CEO sent out after the year's end.
Dash Week is rather like Vacation Candy.
Once Lahaina town gets rebuilt, I see a future of great demand for Maui, but for now, the ads outnumber the people who want to visit.

Yes that change was confusing. As for fewer, last time I looked I estimated that there were 10x more rental listings for WKORV/N than there were before the fire. In 2024, at one point there were almost 100 unsold listings across the 2 resorts for the 4th of July week.
Appears they sort to improve chances of their full service listings. For the full service listings, they charge us $99 when rented and charge the renter 9.5% service fee. I do not think customers realize the 9.5% difference. I have done the DIY route and the full service route and it seems the full service route is where most people gravitate too. This service fee % is the same whether it is a $2K listing or a $6K listing. I heared Redweek was bought out and the new order is looking for big profits. I too am looking for other options. BTW, before the fire we rented our Island View Christmas week for $6K and did not get a bite on Redweek for $4K after fire. Ended up renting to a friend for $4K.

Yes, all true. Redweek is big business, no longer owned by a small entity. Redweek verify/protect rents better. People are naive who rent from RW because they actually think it's a better option, but it's more expensive by far than renting directly from an owner, unless the owner has overpriced their rental.
