First time trading through Interval for a 2 bedrooms at the Grand Moon Palace spring break 2023. We are quoted below for the All Inclusive cost, and the question is are we paying for the initial cost for the 2Bed or plus additional adults? We're a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, and we also indicated during the booking. Emailed the resort with the same question a week ago but haven't got any response yet.

2Bed USD 1771- 2658.
Additional adult for 2023: USD 113- 170 per night.
Child 4-17 years of age, USD 70 per night.

Thank you

My GUESS is the first cost shown is for the 2 adults. Then you will be charged 2x the daily charge for the two teens. You may want to go to the Palace Resorts website, put your actual dates in and the room configuration you want for the this resort, to get an idea of the costs. Or, give II a call to see if they can clarify things for you.

This is what I see on II:
USD rates; per night per unit. Minimum Payment Required: Studio/1bed 2adults, 2Bed 4adults Minimum Stay Required 3 Nights. To see what the all-inclusive fee will be, go to all-inclusiveplanestimator.palaceresorts.com
January 2,- 2022- December 23, 2022: Studio USD 476- 733;
1Bed USD 1047- 1612; 2Bed USD 2379- 3664.
Additional adult for 2022: USD 167- 257 per night.
Child 4-17 years of age, USD 85 per night.
January 2,- 2023- December 23, 2023: Studio USD 476- 770;
1Bed USD 1047- 1693; 2Bed USD 2379- 3847.
Additional adult for 2023: USD 167- 270 per night.

Child 4-17 years of age, USD 85 per night.
Rates are subject to change without prior notice
Plan features include: Round-trip transfers (see directions) calls to USA, Canada and Mexico and resort credits. Stays for 5-7 nights - USD 500 in Resort Credit MANDATORY PREPAYMENT REQUIRED 30 days prior to check-in for to prepay. Payment option is available 24-hours after confirmation.

So perhaps they quoted some sale. Because it looks like it would be $2379-3847 per night for up to adults.

With the amount they quoted you $1171-2658 the cost for 7 night for all of you would be $8197-$18, 606 for the week.
My experience is they have very few 2 BR's so they charge you much more than the cost of 2 studios or even 2 1 BR units.

On the AI fee estimator the 2 BR in March for 4 would be about $22,000 for the week- she said with a completely straight face.

Ouch, $22,000 for the week for All Inclusive Only is pretty insane. I was hoping that their online Estimator also included room cost which we already paid through the Exchange. I think I better call them to confirm. Thanks Everyone.

Generally, you make your echange and when you use your deposit, you will get information as to the A/I cost before clicking to make the exchange. Interval should be able to tell you what the cost is. I would think the daily A/I price for 2 Adults would be would be around $2500+ and then you pay $140/day for 2 teens - $980.

When we stayed at the Sun Palace 20 years ago, we did II exchanges and paid $995 USD per couple upon arrival for our A/I fees. We were told that upfront. Our fees included 1 or 2 tours. Our family did Thanksgiving and we had 4 Studios. Every couple paid their A/I fees. Grandson was 2-1/2 and was free. We had a great time because we were able to use all the other Palace Resorts and did a day at each on the days we did not do the tours.

We love Palace Resorts and are members! Like "pittle" above, we use up everything we are given, and then more - as the spa is very important to us! I cannot say enough positives - we have been going there, to the Resorts for about 25+ years and believe our money is well spent!

But the $2000+ for 2 and the $140/day for 2 teens would be all 4 in a single studio. The OP wanted a 2BR for her family. Getting 2 studios would likely be in the $4500 range which would still be more cost effective than getting one of those 2 BR units for $20,000+ for the week.

We ended up getting a quote from a member between $3,300 - $4,500 for a Studio. The Studio at the Grand is 800 sqft so it's enough for 4.

I'm a Palace Member with access to the 2br Presidential Suites - the total cost for one of these units thru a member would be much cheaper (in the $8k range). If you want pricing I can can check for you (if allowed). Since it's spring break maybe its running higher than normal, but should be anywhere near the $22k I'm seeing mentioned in this thread.

$22k for AI fees for 4 adults in a 2 bedroom for WEEK?!? Are they freakin' nuts?!? I honestly can't even imagine what I could possibly get that would come anywhere near worth that cost.

Right? The prices are artificially inflated on the Palace website to push guests to book with a member. It's intentionally high.
