All HGVC properties on a custom Google Map

I've created a custom map with all HGVC properties that are identified in 2021 Club Reference. I tried to create a separate layer for each category in the reference but there's a 10 layer limit so I had to merge some categories. I maintained the order of categories, as well as the order of properties inside each category. Enjoy!

Just in case you didn't know, you can change the default color and or the icon of each balloon to differentiate type of resorts (sky, beach, hotel) or HGVC, bHC, Fiesta resorts on the map if you want.

When I log into my work computer this afternoon, I’ll share something I did last summer (2020). Knowing I was going into remote learning, I wanted to practice making lessons on Google Earth Projects. I taught myself how to make one using HGVC resorts. It’s incomplete, but pretty close to being finished.

This is my intention! But rather than keep it a one man show, let's crowdsource it. Let's get a couple editors for this map to ensure it's always up to date.

Yesterday I set my map as publicly findable so Google can cache it. If the link to this map gets shared all over, we may end up scoring somewhere high in Google rank for "Hilton Grand Vacations resorts map". Currently, there's a different map around TOP 10 that has only 3 listed.

I'm implementing the following on the map:

• color
  • blue - normal resort
  • red - limited number of units, < 100 - hints it's hard to book them in club season
• icons
  • regular - nothing special
  • city - urban resort reservation window (365 home priority, 276 home resort priority, 59 club season, 30 open season)
  • beach - beach front property (e.g. no need to cross the street to be on the beach)

Open to suggestions.

So I made this project last summer so I could teach myself how to make project lessons using Google Earth for my class. I made it through the HGVC resorts (no DRI) in the Continental 48 states and the Big Island. Missing are Oahu, Maui, Scotland, Italy, Portugal, Japan, Barbados and Mexico. I used the pictures from street view, but tried to keep out any random faces.
