Lawyers look at this and say "cla$$ action law$uit" (see what I did there?). They get a ton of $, AT&T subscribers get nothing of value.

I wouldn't worry too much about it since I assume that all of my personal information is already floating around the dark web.

If the AT&T subscribers get nothing of value, in the class action lawsuit, couldn't they file another class action lawsuit against the first class action lawsuit?

AT&T has a problem with data security
They have had information stolen from their databases over a period of time
Assume any information you have on file has been compromised except payment information
At least they have not mentioned in any of the letters I have been receiving from them since April
The latest information breach would allow a sophisticated hacker to identify the people/businesses you contact
If the hacker is seriously interested in you/me, they could discover who you bank with, where you maintain credit cards, etc., etc
IF YOU have contacted these accounts using your phone
So a hacker could waste some time and energy and only figure out who your best friend or mistress based on who you call
They have only given me a one year paid plan to Experian at this point
There will be a lawsuit
Maybe I will get a $10 credit for a new phone

Read they paid off the hacker with some Bitcoin to delete all the files from the cloud and show proof. They of course could be copied. Otherwise, it's one of those things you can't do a thing about other than have identity theft protection of some sort, and of course don't fall for one of their ridiculous phone scams.

My data taken from ATT in April hack showed up as available for sale back in May
It no longer is listed as available
But I do not for a second believe it has disappeared forever
Somebody copied it and will show up in the future
The only saving grace in all of this is the overwhelming amount of data available to a hacker
A hacker could spend a lot of time running down dead ends
It is why I always change email user names and passwords for any compromised site
I am not an easy target
