I own a floating winter week 2 bedroom lock off at Grand Timber Lodge (GTR) in Breckinridge, Colorado. I bought it from the developer before I discovered TUG. Part of the ownership was membership to II which I have used many times and renewed.

I was surprised to find out that I was not allowed to trade my GTR points for Grand Colorado at peak 8 (GP8) not Grand Lodge at Peak 7 (GP7) the sales person failed to tell me this when I bought.

I was thinking of buying resale into either GP7 or GP8 for two reasons:
1. so I can say I am an owner there and use their amenities when I am in town at GTR
and
2. So I can now trade into those resorts.
(The developer is trying to sell me a studio EOY mud weeks for 22k and yearly MF of $455).

Is this possible with II? Is it a good idea/bad idea? Thoughts?
If possible, should I try to purchase resale winter versus mud?

Thanks in advance.

Hi I own a resale(gift) week at Peak 7. It is a Spring/ Fall week. What exactly was BGV explanation why you could not used a banked GT week with Interval to trade into Peak 7 or Peak 8? Did you split your GT week is that why you have points instead of a 7 night reservation to bank?

1)A cheap resale contract at Peak 7 might not help you much. Unless you want to book a week and then bank it with Interval. As resale contracts do not allow day use or bonus time use most resale owners say.

2) If you want a week at Peak 7 or Peak 8 with Interval check the getaway section of Interval and also the getaway short stay. If your not looking for ski time the days and weeks are super cheap. I would start there.
