I would appreciate recommendations regarding the best way to get to Old Towne Alexandria. Which airport is the best to fly into if I need to use public transportation to get to Alexandria? (Dulles, Reagan, or Baltimore)? If I do take the train or subway, do you know what time they stop running. I am googling but need to buy a ticket tonight. Thanks much!!!!

Reagan Nat'l and you can take Metro to Alexandria. Or a taxi. It's close.

Thanks everyone for the info. I appreciate the help.

P.S. Delta's website is a nightmare to use. How can anything be so slow and klugy!!! Ironic that so many software classes use airlines reservation systems as sample projects, they must have implemented one of those at Delta.

I'm not opposed to naming things after Reagan, but it was FDR who caused it to be built by reallocating $15 million for its construction in 1938. To me, DCA is simply "Washington National."
