This is a video, essentially a walk-through, between Disney Springs (DS) and Saratoga Springs (SSR). As a bus driver at WDW, the most common question I get is how to get to DS. Most times, it's legitimate, they want to keep enjoying WDW after the theme park(s) close, but others park at DS and go to the theme parks (saving $30 on parking). Usually, I tell them to go to SSR and walk to DS. One time, we got real lucky, I was driving DHS to SSR with some guests wanting to go to DS. I planned on letting them off near the DS walkway, but at our first stop (Grandstand), a DS bus pulled up. So, I told those guests to get on that bus, easy!

People are using DS to save on parking fees? This will ruin it for everyone. No minimum purchase is required now to get out of the garage, it's basically free, so pretty soon they will have to start requiring a purchase and set up a booth. Can you imagine the backup of cars to get out of that garage?

More likely they'll require proof of onsite accommodations to board the buses at a resort which they could relatively easily do by using the magic band system.

People have been parking at DS to save parking fees as long as the area existed (back to when it was Lake Buena Vista Marketplace). That’s why there are no direct buses between DS and the parks, not even the one-way parks to DS after 4PM that existed in the past. Having to use a resort as a transfer point discourages many from doing that.

And SSR guests and owners get upset when they can't get a seat on the bus to or from their own resort because of all the DS parkers who don't want to pay to park at the theme parks. I tend to tell people who ask how to get to SSR or DS from the other that I don't really know that way. They should just park where they need to be. Before SSR, they used to hop the boat to OKW or even park at OKW to get to the theme parks. That takes up all or most of the parking spaces around the Hospitality House.

As the Easter Chickie says, " Cheap, cheap, cheap!"
