Adding Resale purchase to my existing deed possible?

HGV Elara
Boy howdy do I wish I had found you guys before actually making my purchase. Live and learn. My wife and I purchased 8,800 every other year points at Elara a couple years back, and twice now have been on calls where they tried to convince us to buy more points. This was the first time I started looking around the resale sites and there are quite a few options that are opposite our year for 1/8th of what we paid. If I picked up one of those, could we roll it into our existing deed or is it separate? Will it show up under our existing HGV account? Will we break our access to Max by doing this? I see a few people around here have done it, wondering if anyone would be kind enough to link me to the threads.

It will just be another week in your account with the points pooling together in one bucket to use. Just make sure your names and account number match with closing on the resale. And look for a low MF/pt resale... Ideally 0.10 or less
 
@thefoolofemmaus , Let first check to ensure that you are in HGVC club since HGV has made this super confusing. ‘Do you own a 1Br grand + EOY Gold Season deed at Elara? If so, then you are in HGVC side. If true, the @HuskerATL statements are correct.

Are you also in HgvMax?
