Looking to compare Hilton Grand Vacations versus the Holiday Inn Club Vacation Program as well. Any inputs between the difference between the two would be highly appreciated. I already attended a presentation on the Holiday Inn and pretty much aware of what’s in store. Now i want to get some feedbacks from HGV as to how similar it is before i look for a resale. I don’t really need tons of points. The points that i am looking at with Holiday Inn is around the 100,000 points mark which i don’t know what is the equivalent with HGV. Also, not sure if buying a resell will put me to a fixed week which i would not be able to do and i need a floating week for flexibility. Thanks in advance Tuggers…

Hilton Grand Vacations
HGV is the parent company of HGVC (Hilton Grand Vacations Club), HC (Hilton Club), and HVC (Hilton Vacations Club/formerly DRI). So, just to be sure, which club are you interested in? And are we talking about resale?

You might start out looking here:

Diamond is now HVC and Bluegreen is being acquired by HGV as well. I’m not sure whether the chart was updated for average points per 2 BR week to reflect the fairly recent alignment of points between HGVC & HVC, which was done by changing HGVC point values to 160% for what a week cost before, so 7,000 old points is 11,200 current points.

Oh… i did not know there are tons of companies under Hilton whereas Holiday Inn are only one. I think HGVC is what i am looking at. Yes, based on my readings here. Definitely resell is what i am looking for.

Thank you… will read on it.

NP, I believe it is part of the HGV strategy, to keep it confusing thereby enhancing sales.

I am sorry, but I can not provide a comparison between HGVC and HICV because I don't know anything about HICV. I think that @Eric B has provided a good starting point. I will say that HGVC points were increased by a factor of 1.6x since that chart was made. So for HGVC, a 2-BR regular room will now be 11,200 pts (instead of 7000 pts) {this was done to give a common pt currency between HGVC/HC and HVC}.

I will also add that if you purchase HGVC resale, you will NOT have access to HVC (which is part of the HgvMax program). Most members don't see this as a problem since the HgvMax program will only allow you the left-over units in the other club {lower qualify units} at the six-month mark.
