I saw a posting on the Facebook MVC Timeshare Ownership page earlier today that several people paying their annual Abound points' annual fees (due Dec 1) online this past week and/or 2024 deeded weeks MF (due in January 2025) and something additional got paid . For example, in one instance, paying 2025 deeded weeks MF, they where also erroneously charged 2026 Abound points annual fees. In another instance, paying for 2025 Abound points annual fees and 2025 deeded weeks MF was also erroneously paid.

Has anyone experience this?

When I pay our MFs and/or Club Dues the website allows me to select what I want to pay for and the amount to be paid.
Are you saying that they are taking more than the amount you select?!

Yes, there were variations of what was happening. As I stated above, say you selected to use your credit card to pay your Abound Trust points fee due Dec 1, the system ended up charging that PLUS your deeded week's MF (due in Jan). Or say you pay your deeded week's M/F early today (Dec 5), and you see later that the system also charged your credit card for the 2026 Abound Trust point fees (yes, even though the 2026 Trust point cost is NOT even out until until Oct/Nov 2025).

There was an update to the original post that Marriott cust service claims people have been reporting this issue.

Oh dear!
Yes, I have read those other reports now.
A very poor show.

I was hoping I'd get some TUGGer's experiences here vs FB's group. I have some credit cards I want to use to pay for the Dec 1 fees, but I do NOT want to charge more than just those.

None of our payments are due for quite some time yet, even our enrolled weeks Club Dues have a payment date in late January and our weeks MFs even later.
So I can’t help with this unfortunately, hopefully other TUGGers will be able to 🤞

Almost happened to me. I filled in to pay $2,000 and when I went to approve the payment it said amount to charge $5,000. I had to go back and delete the "pay extra" amount which seemed to be my other units maintenance fee. Just make sure you check it before you click. There is no new screen to say this is the transaction you are approving.

You can also pay via telephone. There was a glitch reported In my group, the credit is being processed per the update.

Just FYI - if you are worried about glitches, I suggest taking screenshots along the way confirming the amount you are authorizing to charge to your card. Especially if you are making partial payments via different credit cards.

I just had a contract come in yesterday so my account is wonky, but when I look at the fiscal year description on the payment page, I have line items 2025 Property tax fee, club dues, and operating fee. I also have a second set of these exact line items except they are different amounts.

Hi Leslie. So paying by phone eliminates this issue? I neglected calling in the payment because I was wondering if the customer service rep taking the payments also use the same buggy system 🙄🙄🙄🤔

I called in yesterday because my club fees were wrong. The rep took the payment without issue and they attached a note about the error.

She did say that late fees were going to be hitting soon.

The reports of glitches have not shared screenshots. Who knows if there was something that happened to cause the computer system to charge twice, like a refresh screen? When the customer rep enters the payment he or she is going to confirm the amount with you and the call is recorded. If there’s any problem, that’s the backup.

There is normally a ~10 day grace period where late fees and interest is supposed to start.
Dec 2 + 10 gives us to say Dec 12.

To test this issue, I will make a $5 partial payment and check back in a day to see if anything else was charged. If not, I will make the payment for the remaining balance.

It does not magically charge a different number. It does magically calculate a different number and then you authorize that second number. Just make sure you delete the magic if it shows up and only click when the "your card will be charged $x" matches what you intend. No need to test if visa payment processing works.
