Follets Island does not sound like a timeshare destination, yet Peregrine Resort at San Luis Pass is located on Follets Island just two miles south of a much better known barrier island-Galveston. Follets Island and Peregrine Resort offer a unique timeshare experience-peace and quiet. Peregrine Resort is a family resort we have visited four times. Only the Sedona Summit and Wyndham Oceanside are ahead on Peregrine on our most frequent destinations.
What brings us back to Peregrine Resort?
-A staff that runs a family resort! We are on a first name basis with the staff. How many timeshares get to know their guests? (we trade in, we are not owners!)
-A 40 unit resort that sits on the Gulf of Mexico. Tasteful rooms with a Gulf view from every unit and a 100 foot walk to the beach! In a word LOCATION!
-Activities are just a 25 mile drive away in Galveston. Today we rode horses on the beach and shopped on the Strand. The Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, the Lone Star Flight Museum and all the Galveston attractions are handy.
What we find alluring is the isolation of Follets Island. We walk the beach each morning and evening accompanied only by the local bird population. We visit the Texas A&M Sea Turtle project on the island. We enjoy the warm waters of Gulf-mid 80’s most of the summer! No Spring Break crowds-they go to Panama City Beach, Galveston or South Padre Island.
We know that what we find alluring is not alluring to everyone. For those who desire peace and quiet we recommend Peregrine Resort at San Luis Pass!
