600 Pts. remaining (2025) - let them go?

New to system. Is it possible to rent out the 600 pts. my nephew has left for use year 2025, or should he just let them go? He does not want to bank them. TIA.

You can not rent out HGVC points per the rules. 600 pts is only worth ~$60 so IMO not worth the cost to save them.

very specific use case to think about for next yr: say you're booking a resort where your Pts are worth $0.25 each. The 600 = $150. If you had a wk booked at a place that goes on "special" sometimes, Black Fri or other, you could cancel the week and rebook 8 nights using the +600 pts. If no status, it is an extra $79 (I guess) fee but you got a night worth at least $150. small stuff but that is a "use case" if I get yoru question

But it will cost $120 to save if prior to august, $140 Sept - Nov and $249 in Dec.

I would try to book a short vacation in 2025 and borrow a few from next year to zero out 2025.

Borrow some from 2026, go on a mini vacation in a studio for 176 to 256 points a night

As others have mentioned:

• wait for a point sale > some studios can go very low points at different times of the year
• grab something interesting and possibly borrow from 2026 points if needed to get the booking

By way of pretty relevant example, we head to Vegas this weekend to see Tears for Fears... we have a 3 night studio at Elara for only 750 points! (this was part of their year end special)
