I always get these targeted toward our Vistana corp account which I won't spend the money to upgrade. Sadly when we need to take advantage of a Platinum benefit our Marriott corp account membership it is not expired and we can't take advantage of these offers. I always seem to be forced to pay full price.

Agree, I rarely use this account to exchange. So I won't be taking the offer. Just wanted to share.

I have a regular II account - not associated with Marriott etc. I just looked at my renewal options (my 5 year platinum expires in June) and the chart was exactly the same. No mention of 50% off.

These offers are usually made after your Platinum membership expires by a few months.
It is Not a Black Friday offer.

I will check my Vistana account. I received a "thanks for being a member for 25 years" e-mail for my other account. You would have thought they would have attached some kind of renewal promotion....NOPE!
