5 Songs Guaranteed to Make Dads Weep

As a girl Dad, Steven Curtis Chapman's "Cinderella" gets me every time.

If you know the backstory of this song and the tragedy the Chapman family endured, it is even more meaningful. He did not perform that song again in public for quite some time after the accident. I was honored to attend one of his concerts where he had just started singing "Cinderella" on stage again, and there was not a dry eye in the audience by the time the song was over.

I really don't find any of the songs on the list sad or tear jerking at all. One of my favorite bands was Guns and Roses. They really rock. Years after their songs like Sweet Child of Mine , Welcome to the Jungle and Don't Cry first came out , songs I really liked back then, are now songs that took a different meaning and I can't even listen to them without thinking of a really sad event.
