2bdrm lockoff vs 1bdrm+studio availability

I’d like to book a 2bdrm lock off to give myself the option of inviting some family. But my family cannot confirm at 9 months.

If I book the 2bdrm lock off at 9 months and then find out I only need a 1bedroom later. Will the booking availability open up a 1bdrm+studio? I’m thinking marbrisa if that makes a difference.
 
Which resort?
 
I don’t follow Marbrisa but I have followed Sunrise Lodge which has a large percentage of LOs. There the LOs such as 2BR, 3BR and 4BR will release into individual inventory.
