Has anyone with a 2026 reservation that includes kids obtained via II exchange added the dining plan? Was it free for the kids?

I don't think it will be. You can call and ask. Those deals are for renting from Disney.

I think it has to be direct AND include tickets as well. They may waive the ticket requirement if you have a valid pass. The only dining plan I've ever seen work when it had to be paid for was the premier plan and even then when we had multiple rooms and could thus share. I can't make the numbers work for either of the 2 current plans other than for a very short stay where the mugs adds extra value. Don't forget there are other potential discounts, we usually get at least 10% for sit down dining venues even or some counter service options.

When I called recently to have my II exchange in January linked to my MDE account the DVC rep mentioned that I could get this offer (I didn’t since only one of my children will be a Disney “kid” next year and I couldn’t make the math work). So unless the DVC rep was incorrect, then it sounds like you can do it.

Per the DVC rep I spoke to this new deal is much less restrictive than what they’ve done in the past.

It doesn't hurt to ask but you should be able to tell yourself. Just go into your app or online and add the dining plan then see what it looks like at checkout.
