This is just beginning and I am sure they will fine tune it as time goes on:
For a 2 bedroom unit, forgo midweek tidy service and receive $25 resort credit
forgo stay over cleaning service and receive a $50 resort credit
On your checkout day, leave by 8:00 a.m. and receive 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points
Front desk must be informed, cannot opt out of this program the day of scheduled cleaning.
There is no information on resort credit for a studio or one bedroom unit and as
of now, there is no end date but I think it was originally initiated for the busy summer. As usual, great staff here and beautiful weather

Early checkout points has been around a while at the resorts.

The cash incentive seems to be new but as Ken mentioned, the points option for early checkout has been around for a while. I would certainly take them up on all of these except early checkout. We have stayed two or more weeks at a resort and they never came in to clean. I never understand people who say they need fresh towels, there is in room laundry right there in the unit. Just wash them. As for bedding, I can wash that too.

They will still bring you towels or whatever you need, just won't come into the unit and clean. I didn't realize that WKORV had an early check out incentive.

Good to know. Would work for just two of us. But with the entire fam, kitchen meals and sand from the beach tracked in, I can't wait for that midweek tidy. The place is packed with families during summer so I doubt there would be many takers.

One of the reasons I enjoy timesharing vs. a second home is I don't enjoy cleaning on vacation.

We always do early check-out by giving them a courtesy call but we don't drop by at the front desk to check out to get the 1000 Bonvoy points. 1000 Bonvoy points is not worth our time because we just want to hit the road early.

I don't think I could possibly figure out the complicated way that Westin makes their beds if I stripped the bed, lol. They have so many layers (a sheet on each side of the blanket?) Obviously there's some hyperbole here, I'm sure I could figure it out, but I've never seen such a complicated regimen.

I do like when they come in and clean, especially on a long stay, but I agree about the towels... just wash them!

Don't get me started on the Westin (or Sheraton) beds. No fitted sheet and no duvet. They could fix all that mess you talk about with a proper sheet and duvet. They somehow make a duvet out of layers of blankets and sheets. And the bottom flat sheet never stays in place. I much prefer the beds in Marriott timeshares. The beds in Westin timeshares should never be referred to as "heavenly".

They are ridiculous.

I agree with both of you. Marriott's beds have sensible and comfortable linens. At Westin, unless everyone in the bed is a very neat sleeper (not my DH) the bed needs to practically be remade every day. Too much work for us not to mention the poor housekeepers. Can't imagine why they keep this linen system.

We have never liked the so-called "heavenly" beds. They are pretty subpar to us.

I sleep just fine in them, and the linens are fine the first night, but subsequent nights they get worse and worse even though we make best efforts to make the bed every day.

I feel like their system works for normal hotels that receive housekeeping services every day, but not at all well for timeshares where you get housekeeping maybe once in a week. And it's got to require a lot more time on the part of the housekeeping staff!

We always take a fitted sheet with us when we are staying at a Westin or Sheraton.

Edited to add: DVC has the same crappy bedding like Vistana.

Is this something you have to ask about on check-in? We are on property now and no mention was made of it.

At any rate - I don’t think I’d take them up on it. With four kids, my spouses sanity is probably worth more than a $25 resort credit.

At check in they are supposed to tell you about it, give you the options. I am not sure how this applies to studio or one bedroom units. It would be interesting to see if those in a 2 bedroom are getting the options explained at check in.

Am thinking of doing that too. That bedding is silly. The housecleaners must hate it.
For a few years I am sure that KOR had fitted sheets. This trip we noticed two different quality levels in the bedsheets at KOR. This is not the first thing we have had a set that were very rough. They were changed for the Westin "hotel" standard we expect.
