The weather seems to be a go
The real test will be the fueling process
Hoping the engineers have worked out the details

My bff's daughter, who I have known her entire life, is head of Safety at Kennedy Space Center and has been very involved with Artemis. My bff lives close to KSC and plans to watch this launch at KSC and bought special passes. They plan to arrive at noon for the launch at 6:24 p.m. She said they expect something like 400,000 people to be in the area.

The excitement among space travel followers has grown in leaps and bounds in the last 48 hours
I remember Mercury program as a pre teen
The moon landing as a young adult
We are going back to the moon AGAIN
It is a historic moment

We had thought of packing a picnic supper, putting a couple of beach chairs in the car and driving down to watch it from somewhere nearby. Then we remembered the crowds we experienced years ago when staying at a timeshare in Titusville and there was just a regular launch and decided to watch from our condo at St. Augustine Beach. If is isnt too chilly we may go down to the beach for a better view.

About 90 minutes to liftoff
Fingers crossed for a launch today
Was at a restaurant for lunch
Surprised at the number of people not aware of the this launch today
GO ARTEMIS 2

Lots of people started claiming their viewing area very early this morning. Scenes like this, from the local news at Spaceview Park about 15 mins ago, is why we decided not to go down there.

Has anyone ever seen any possible launch .... Albeit far and distant from the West Palm Beach area?

Wow Iwas able to see it far in the distance. Got it on video. Not really worth posting but glad I was able get a small clip.

We and many others were at the pier at St. Augustine Beach for the launch and got a good view. There was a big cheer and lots of clapping when the rocket became visible.
Even our oldest DS at Apollo Beach south of Tampa could see it quite clearly.

My parents had a place in New Smyrna Beach back in the 1970s and 1980s. Their front porch looked south. I remember watching a number of launches from there. It was always exciting. Good luck to the crew of Artemis II.

But first seen by satellite in 1959

"The first images of the far side of the Moon were captured by the Soviet Union's Luna 3 spacecraft on October 7, 1959.
These historic photographs were a major milestone in space exploration, revealing for the first time a terrain that is never visible from Earth"

Splash down this afternoon
NASA.com coverage starts about 6:30 EST

There were some heat shield issues on the first unmanned flight
Hoping all goes well with this reentry and recovery

Yup, fingers crossed for a safe re-entry. My cousin in Chula Visa (south of San Diego) is going to stand outside to see if he can hear the sonic boom. Since they are due to splash down about 60 miles from the coast , and it will still be light, I doubt he will see anything.
