Got a call from this company. Out of the Blue.
Offered great vacation package- not 1 or 2 but 5. Said we get expired packages say from Wyndham, RCI etc and give you 3 years to use these. All for price of $650 or so. They said we have a rating of 4.9 on scale of 5 and are rated highly by Better Business Bureau.

Sounded too good to be true. 5 great vacation packages including cruises and 3 years to use.
Anyone have experience dealing with his company.

If it's too good to be true - it's not true!

These vacation clubs are a dime a dozen - you don't own anything except a membership, so they collect a lot of fees, go bankrupt, and then start over under a new name. DON'T DO IT!

So their plan is collect money, tell you that you have 3 yrs to use it and that gives them enough time to collect money and go bankrupt. Correct? How they have good standing with BBB?

Just got a call from the Monster Reservation group (monsterrg.com). Same script as what prajora went through. Fortunately I've been in the InfoSec industry awhile and know how these social engineering "scams' and I was suspect right away, so I decided to play along and see if I could learn more about how they present "the sales pitch". I also noticed my TrueCaller was showing a 916 number (Sacramento, CA area), but their registered phone number on their website starts with an 844 number. After I let him talk through the whole presentation I asked him why the phone number doesn't match the business. He said "we have offices everywhere". Yeah well as he was talking (and boy he was doing a LOT of talking) I used some of my additional research skills while he was talking to verify what I suspected, which is they have NO office in the capital city of California. I am highly suspect of this company. For those out there reading this, NEVER feel pressured to pay for a vacation on the spot; that's how they get people. It's all about "grab the credit card info and run" type of tactic.

Welcome to TUG!

All those sales calls from "spoofed" numbers in your area code are robocall scammers.

I have my Android phone set to not answer any number not in my contact list.

My fingers have that same setting.

I love that setting on my iPhone, because I don’t even have to listen to the phone ring, much less touch it to decline the call. If the number isn’t in my contacts, it goes to VM, and if they leave a message (most don’t) I get a little ding. If they don’t leave a VM, I don’t even know they called until the next time I look at the phone and see I had a missed call.
