[ 2012 ] Cj Timeshare Reservation?

Hello,

I recently won an ebay resale from CJ timeshares. It is week 14 at trapp family lodge.

Week 14 for trapp is March 31-April 7th. Which is coming up this weekend. Since the transfer of the timeshare will not be complete by this years usage cj timeshares has "made" a reservation for us.

here's my issue. I have been given 2 reservation confirmations from cj timeshare but when I have called trapp family lodge they have no reservation in our name....

I just called and again they said there is no reservation in our name for this coming week, they encouraged me to call cj timeshare and request a reservation be made.

I did call Janet Herrington and she will be looking into it and letting me know what is happening.

has anyone had this issue with cj timeshare? if so did they take care of it.

I am getting nervous because my husband and I took the time off from work and are prepared to pull the kids from preschool for that week.

Thanks for any info on this

Yes, I was in a similar situation with CJ Timeshares. The time was not as close but I did have the same concern about 2012 usage. I told CJT that they should make a reservation for me before I started the closing process (meaning not sending any money until I had a reservation) on a Marriott and they agreed. Within 24 hours they had gotten me a first choice on the one BR side and the second choice on the guest side of my lock off. The lady you mentioned was involved in my closing and I was real pleased with them as a closing agent. Therefore, it would seem to me that they should be able to get a confirmation number from the resort for you immediately and if not I would stop the process!

Mine was about 30 days out. I would also stop the process unless the reservation was confirmed. I have been doing business with the folks at CJTimeshares for a few years and they have always come through or made things right.

Hopefully soon, you will be posting what a great vacation your family had at the resort. :)

Janet has always come through for me

Here is an issue I had at another resort...At the resort the reservation was filed under the owners name, with me as guest...and they couldnt find it searching under my name...fortunately I knew the former owners name and they were able to find it then

You will be listed as a guest until the transfer is transferred into your name
so you may want to email Janet and see what name it is under.

I agree with Ron and naz, however, CJT had my reservation put in my name at Marriotts Ocean Point and e-mailed me both reservations before we proceeded.

Update

Just to update those interested. CJ timeshares has come through and made the reservation but it was after they realized the original owners had banked thier week with II.

So, they did send in a reservation request but it was never submitted because the week was deposited.

CJ timeshares went ahead and using thier II account booked us that week at Trapp, they sent along the guest certificate this morning.

wheew....I am so pleased with CJ timeshares and Janet Herrington for figuring this out and making it right (at no additional cost to me).

The only thing is our unit is not likely the one we are purchasing, but most of the units are great at trapp.

we recently purchased a timeshare and as stated in contract we had option to request a guest week at our resort during escrow period. we paid in full as ebay ad said we had 5 days to pay and made our request at same time. it has been 3 weeks and all I get is delay tactics from CJ employees. they sometimes respond to emails and phone calls but often I feel like I have to chase them for info. they are very bad at feedback or communicating status of purchase or reservation. glad I got good deal and they seem like a legit org but this is painful--like pulling teeth.

Depending on how long ago you purchased and which resort, the delays may not be in the control of CJTimeshares. Some resorts will only allow the current deeded owner to reserve. CJtimeshares has to get the seller to reserve your week. If that is the case, maybe the seller isn't cooperating. In other cases, as soon as deed is recorded with the county, the resort will allow the escrow company to make a reservation on the buyer's behalf. Other resorts just won't allow it at all until the entire transfer is complete.

Have you look online at the county recorder's site to see if your deed has been recorded?

update: looking better

We purchased one month ago and part of the contract detailed how we could request a "guest" reservation while transfer was in escrow. After 3 weeks we finally got some positive news but only after we contacted CJ and let them know we were not happy at the delay and needed the reservation settled (this was one way for us to ensure that our purchase was legit--sorry, but we're paranoid when paying any money online). Glad to say that suddenly all seems good and we just got our reservation. Thanks to folks at CJ for getting on the ball and finally pulling that darn tooth--but not without some screaming on our part. :clap:

PS. Yes, we have looked for deed recording status and it is still under other owner but CJ has LPOA so they have right to book a guest reservation.
