[ 2008 ] Timeshare Software Questions

I am working on a project for my employer at [deleted] and have a couple of questions.

1.) Do timeshare owners care what software their resort is using?

2.) Does your resort make billing errors in maintenance fees?

3.) What features do timeshare owners want in their resort timeshare software programs?

TS have software? LOL I certainly don't care what they use as long as they are accurate. I am more concerned with their physical plant.

2) No, but they always seem higher than I'd like them to be
3) It's irrelevant to me. As already said I'm more concerned with the physical condition of the property and the activities available. How the resort makes those things happen is of no consequence to me. Software is typically internally focused on the achievement of required business objectives. I need the resort to be externally focused - in other words, it should be all about me and I think it's reasonable to assume that my concern is enjoyment of the property and/or maximizing trade value. To that end I'm having a hard time seeing the connection between software and greater enjoyment of my vacation.
 
1. Couldn't care less. Why should I care, any more than they would care about the software their suppliers or customers are using.
2. Not that I am aware of.
3. As 1 above.
 
Software?? The operation is like a hotel where they use all kinds of tools and supplies. For me, I'm probably more interested in things I come in contact with, like the fragrance of the soap

I'd love to hear your job title. Are you in product development or are you in sales/marketing?

Is the purpose of your posting to get your name and product info out there as free advertising?

According to their website:

These questions are better asked of the actual users of the software. Only they know the features they desperately need but have never had.
 
I think owners care about real time inventory visibility and ability to book specific units. Ease of use, speedy, etc., normal any-software-user stuff. Otherwise, we don’t care what management uses.

+1 -- but add the ability to view inventory whether or not I have sufficient points to reserve it and whether or not the reservation window has yet opened. Let me see what will be available. Marriott does not allow its owners do this; Westin (Vistana) allowed it in the past, so it is clearly possible to do.
 
Do you realize that the original post is about 18 years old? The OP has only posted once.
 
This post from 2008 was brought out of mothballs by a newbie who may have nefarious intentions. Replying to old threads is a common ploy with spammers and scammers who are trying to integrate into TUG.
