What's the difference between the deluxe vs. premium 1 bedroom at Atlantis. Thinking about renting but wnated to know what you get (premium) vs what you give up (deluxe) when getting either of these units?
I have stayed in both and I believe that the biggest differences are in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room (see floor plans above). Some of the smaller 1BR on the corners or buildings do offer additional square footage which increases the living room size and makes it feel much larger.
The corner 1bed dlx units are the best, since it also includes a patio, though I'd only use them for up to two people, IMO (even so, my brother's family had one a few months ago and it was fine for his family, with two younger boys... though I doubt it will work in a year or two for them). The premium 1 bed is very similar to the premium 1 bed units at WKORV, WMH, WKR, etc.
I stayed at deluxe 1BR corner unit last week. It was in building #1. My room had a small patio which had a table and 2 chairs. It was overlooking Atlantis and Marina, so view was quite good.
However, if you are going to use the unit with more than 3 people, rent Premium side. It has bigger kitchen and more space.
I used my unit with my 2 younger boys (ages 13 and 7), and it was ok for us, but if my husband or oldest son (15 years old) joined us, it could be VERY crowded. I think family of 4 (2 younger kids) are ok with deluxe 1BR, but recommend premium 1BR for older kids.
Deluxe unit can allow 5 (if the youngest one is 3 yrs old or less)
Not that you want to squeeze 5 people into the deluxe unit, but you are allowed to have a fifth person in the unit as long as he/she is 3 years old or younger. (As per Starwood reservation and confirmed with Atlantisfamilyfun.com)
