Who do you think should be added to the list?

15 of the most unlikable movie characters of all time

Between classics from our childhood and new releases, there's always those characters that are so good at making us dislike them. Truly talented actors and actresses can channel the right demeanor, whether evil or just plain annoying, that gets the point across and demonstrates who that character is meant to be. Whether it's a girlfriend passing through or an evil bully, these are some of the most unlikable movie characters of all time.

I'm not even sure who #10 is...

But I instantly thought of Daniel Riddick from San Andreas. He got his just deserves though.

(I love San Andreas because of how ridiculous it is(and Dwayne Johnson is definitely worth watching.) Not saying a huge earth quake event is not possible. But to start, the girl at the beginning who drives her car over the cliff, but never loses her cell phone so she can call for help... and that's just the beginning.)

Robert DeNiro in Cape Fear. Sinister and menacing.

That list is ridiculous, Jar Jar Binks!

Unlikable, as in the character being portrayed, or as in bad acting and impossible to like? Even a movie villain can be lovable, in their own sick way. Kathy Bates in Misery was amazing, did horrible things to James Caan, but won me over as a fan because she was so convincingly crazy. Does that make her unlikable?

Lol.

That list is pathetic. And, it seems like it was written by a teenager. I'll skip the Harry Potter and Vampire movies....

Not to name characters, but just some real 'I don't like that person' movies:

Schindler's list: Guess who? There's more than one. Amon Goeth (Fiennes) a monster in life, a monster on screen.

No country for old men: Anton Chigurh (Bardem). I hate his clothes, his hair, his face. Oh, and he's a psychopathic murderer. X10.

There will be blood: It literally hurts to watch Eli Sunday (Dano) in the move. His voice grates my soul. While we're at it, Plainview (DDL) makes my skin crawl at times as well. Brilliant movie. If you've never seen it, watch it.

Game of Thrones: Yeah, it's not a movie. So sue me. Pick who you hate. Most. It's tough. I literally slapped the telly more than once when Joffrey was on screen. More irritating than a door-to-door salesman in the middle of the Superbowl.

Music anyone? Amadeus: Antonio Salieri (Abraham). Despicable. His agony is a pleasure to savor throughout the movie. His best role me thinks.

Dangerous Liaisons : Vicomte de Valmont (Malkovich) A more 'classic' take on despicable.

One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest: Nurse Ratched. Just watching her makes me feel small and guilty. She's not a super villain...just horrible.

good enough for now....

You shore have a purty mouth ...

Who also, by the way, played another baddie:

RIP: Bill McKinney

How about the classic Darth Vader But not sure the list is just best villain.

Black Jack Randall in Outlander:

Rob Lowe in Bad Influence. His first role where he didn’t play a pretty boy and he was EVIL.

Jennifer Connelly's character in the movie The House of Sand and Fog is on my top ten list.
Reformed drug addict Kathy Nicolo (Jennifer Connelly) has her California coast house, which she inherited from her father, taken away by the county due to a misunderstanding about back taxes. The place is bought by Iranian immigrant Massoud Amir Behrani (Ben Kingsley), who intends to fix it up and sell it in order to provide a better life for his wife (Shohreh Aghdashloo) and son (Jonathan Ahdout). However, Kathy, desperate to get the house back, begins harassing Behrani so he will return it.

Kristen Stewart was so horrible as Bella Swan in the Twilight series movies that she made her character unlikeable. As popular as the books were couldn't they have found an actress with some talent?

Edward The Longshanks from Braveheart. Sinister, cruel, heartless, and evil to his last breath. And I always loved Patrick McGoohan!

I second the nomination of Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Cold as dry ice in the middle of January. Humorless. Cruel and hateful. The perfect villain.

Marcus Aurelius Commodus from Gladiator. Narcissistic. Power-hungry. Jealous of everyone and everything, even though he was Emperor of Rome. And he had a weird and unhealthy attraction to his own sister.

Forgotten by now, but no less despicable--Major Fambrough from Dances With Wolves. Hated his job. Hated the military. A drunk, a laggard, deployed to some lonely frontier outpost because he was a failure as a commander. Exactly the kind of boss you would never want to work for.

I don't mind characters in films who are despicable - I can actually like them in their roles. Heath Ledger as the Joker is a despicable character, but it's likable seeing hm playing the role.

By far, the most truly unlikable movie characters I recall seeing in a film are the two narcissistic, self-absorbed twits in Sideways. The English teacher/writer guy is only slightly less insufferable than the actor guy. But I found them both to be accurate caricatures of an actual type of person whom I find repulsive.

I was just about to nominate Heath Ledger's Joker. It was the best version of the character. It captured pure evil.

How about the classic Darth Vader But not sure the list is just best villain.

But the character was redeemed at the end of the saga.

A Clockwork Orange. A difficult read.

I liked Alex in Fatal Attraction. She reminds of a former co-worker. Both were crazy/

Geesh, I liked them. Does that make me a horrible person?

It is hard to pick Ben Kingsley's best role but my vote has to go to this one.

Percy the sadistic guard on Green Mile is the character I like to hate. Jofery on the Games of Thrones seemed like a rotten to the core person to me. George Herst from the Deadwood series was a schumck.

I have walked out of movies or stopped DVDs, when I do NOT enjoy the story. I want to relax and be entertained ... not annoyed or irritated by evil characters or stories or shocking scene on the screen.

IMHO, movies should be entertaining or educational, not generating "House of Horrors" screams or raise goose-bumps on your arms or where you have to 'look away' because 'that is SO gross'.

You might be a Walt Disney or Merlin Perkin fan, lol. Nothing wrong with that !!!

It's personal taste.

Great movie that has many disturbing scenes: Blade Runner

I started out thinking of the replicants as "artificial", but when you see their will to live and how hard they cling to what life they have, it changes you.

When Roy Batty meets his creator - Wow! Then, his final act of mercy.

Not a comfortable movie, but a great one nonetheless.

On the same lines is the BBC series HUMANS. It kind of confronts the same questions.
