Which county is The Villages located? This is the largest senior citizens community in the United Stated?

Florida needs a leader strong enough to enact a stay-at-home order similar to other states. Just closing the borders to visitors from certain areas is not going to do it. If one thinks COVID-19 is not throughout the state, that person is delusional.

Villages is in three counties, Sumter, Marion, and one other. I didn’t see them on the chart. Lee county has a high proportion of deaths compared to Miami as reported on the news. Lee and collier have a lot of senior citizens.

We live in Broward County, one of Florida's hot spots. Since the pool in our plan is closed my husband can't do his hour of walking in the pool so he goes out early in the morning for a bike ride. I just asked him if he sees many people out and about and he said he sees the same five or six people in our plan out walking by themselves. He said there is very little traffic on the roads. That's been nice for him because instead of just riding in the housing plans around us he's been riding in other areas he wouldn't normally go to because of the traffic on the main roads. He's been grocery shopping only twice since the 13th of March. He showers and changes his clothes when he gets home. Our son would have preferred to have us order our groceries and have them delivered.

I have asthma that doesn't give me problems very often since we moved to Florida in 2011 but I've had bad cases of asthmatic bronchitis enough times in my lifetime to know not to take unnecessary risks with contracting this virus. I go nowhere and see no one but my husband. I decided to be smart and play it safe because a couple of months of isolation and not much exercise won't kill me but this virus could. One thing that many people who get the bad cases of this virus may not realize is that the next time they get the flu or next year's mutation of this virus they will be much more susceptible to having it hit them much harder and they could be in trouble if they aren't careful. It's not an old wives tale that when you've had something that hits your lungs hard that afterwards for a season or two any colds or flu you get will very likely drop right down into your chest.

I am with you jan, I have asthma too and just got over five weeks of bronchitis

our club closed everything down on March 16. If everyone had listened and stayed home, our community would be a safe zone now. Itoday marks three weeks since I have had any contact with anyone except my husband, my sister, and unfortunately the pharmacist.

yes, like in other states stay at home orders also means you can attend "recreation" activities, "houses of worship" meds, groceries, exercise, etc
and in Virginia - ABC liquor stores, gun stores, shooting ranges

In Virginia shooting ranges are closed and most major recreation park buildings are closed. All shopping malls, sit in restaurants and retail stores are closed. All health gyms are closed.

Take out restaurants are open.

Also, most churches and synagogues are closed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

All public schools from K to 12 are closed. All colleges and universities are closed.

Liberty University is a private university, in Lynchburg VA, was open after spring break. However, I do not know their current static.

ABC stores are open but on reduce hours of operations.

However, golf courses are open.

I’m going to Wilcox Bait store on Jefferson Ave and buy some fishing gear next week.
