1064 hp ZR1 driven

From the article it sounds like quite the car
Handled well, accelerated like a bat out of hell
Sucked down petrol a T-Rex a minute at full throttle
I test drove the Lucid Air Saphire recently
Incredible acceleration and handling for such a big car
But I realized I missed the sound of an engine at 7,000 RPM and upshifting
Even if it was all happening at the speed of light and automatically

The next model will likely be the Zora which will have the twin turbo motor and add the front electric from the ERay. That will result in AWD and 1200 HP.

Negative. It’s not electric. Same weight.

I meant the Corvette was likely double the weight.

The usual MO is to have the HP equal the weight in kilograms. The Konigsegg is almost 1000 pounds lighter with 300 more horsepower. For what they're trying to do, the Corvette is awfully chubby.

You're comparing apples and oranges. The corvette is designed to be driven every day from the grocery store to the track. It has to meet all safety and emissions standards. It's not trying to be some one-off hyper car.

We're in supercar territory. I truly wish Chevrolet would make an actual supercar with the Corvette. They're closer than any time in their history. And at least Ford has tried a couple times in the last 20 years. I don't think they got it right, either. But they gave it a go.

Shedding weight is more important at this point. But the people who buy them, to paraphrase George Carlin, are the people who "can't keep their hands off the croissants, and now need loose-fitting jeans." They want a big, heavy, Buick with all the comforts -- with a 1000hp engine.
