If you book an exchange with a 1 in 4 Resort, can you still book extra vacation cash getaways from the same account?

I ask because we have an HGVC Sea World exchange booked for this year. I cannot see exchange vacations for this year any more, but cash extra vacations still show up.

Yes in 'most' cases. The 1:4 rule usually just applies to exchanges. We have exchanged into a resort and had an Extra vacation booked for the following week or year quite a few times in the past, one time returning to the same resort 5 years in a row! I have heard that some resorts are being really picky now, so it's probably best to check with the resort to see how they are enforcing it.

I booked a resort in the Canary Island and they canceled the extra vacation that we booked. We had stayed there the year before and they have the 1:4 rule also. I would definitely contact the resort prior to booking just to be on the safe side.
