Processing time for enrolling Craigendarroch Lodges weeks into DEX

I recently purchased a week at Craigendarroch and want to use DEX as my exchange. I have not enrolled in HGVC as I believe I can get the exchange options I need with DEX. Has anyone here enrolled a newly purchased week into DEX? How long did that process take?

I made my purchase payment last week and according to the sales department at Craigendarroch, all of the details regarding my contract are in their system. However, DRI (who runs DEX) are saying that although they can see my contract number, they are not able to pull up the exact contract in their system. They are able to see what weeks I have but they don't have the full contract. They also don’t have an exact timeline they can provide when the contract will be available in their system .

Who would be the best person to contact to help with speeding up the process? I am not sure if this action of "making the contract available into the Diamond system" is pending on Craigendarroch Lodges association, HGV or DRI.

Welcome to the DEX party....and hold on for complete incompetence to get enrolled, deposit weeks, and then logging to the account. @Markport and @paulm144 can share their recent experiences. Everyone that has done it, that I know, have had issues....it is just a matter of how bad and how long to fix it. Hold your hat for the input from the two that I tagged.

For us, we already had weeks when we enrolled last April so it was easier but still had challenges. New owners who are depositing have had more issues...which I think is a combo of new week issues in the system combined with DEX staff issues.

Once you are in, there is good availability for DEX properties...but it is a clumsy system.

DEX EU trading power with Craigendarroch Lodges HGVC ownership

i'm considering a resale purchase(s) in scotland. i'm currently an MAX (sadly) HGVC owner. when considering the possibility of purchasing 2x 1Br units vs. purchasing a single 2Br unit, which would have more favorable trading options in DEX EU? i understand getting specific weeks is important too.

Update for the thread.
I was able to get access to DEX this morning, lots of good availability. Seems like you have to call in to deposit Craig weeks (cannot be done online).

@HuskerATL do you have any suggestions on top resorts to book into via DEX. Right now I am looking at Cabo Azul, Kaanapali Beach Club and The Point at Poipu.

I was able to get access to DEX this morning, lots of good availability. Seems like you have to call in to deposit Craig weeks (cannot be done online).

@HuskerATL do you have any suggestions on top resorts to book into via DEX. Right now I am looking at Cabo Azul, Kaanapali Beach Club and The Point at Poipu.

I emailed them to deposit our last batch.

For properties, it just depends on what you like. There are the Embarc properties, other HVC, and the partner properties. You just need to dig around, play with the dates, and tiers. I tend to search 2 years out and filter my tier levels.

@HuskerATL I saw in another post you had also booked the 3 Bedroom Grand PH at Cabo Azul. Have you found any floor plans/room details online. The DEX website does not have much details.

Also, it seems that in the new DEX handbook for 2025-26 that my Craig Weeks (1 Bed, Week 24) have been downgraded to a Tier 3. I guess one of the risks of a Tier based system that is changing every year.
